It was senior day, (remember we had Marie's senior day January 24) as well as team pictures day...couldn't resist these "behind the scene" views, CONGRATS TO ALL, and once we get the "real" team pictures we will post, GO NORTH!!

Great last swim meet, 2 teams willing to travel north 3 -3 1/2 hours to swim at our pool. Everyone who swam got points, and some races were exciting to watch for sure! Also Senior Day, will post those pictures in a separate post ...in any case..Girls scores: North Eugene 107, to Ashlands 131 and Craters 64 Boys Scores: North Eugene 116 to Ashlands 109 and Craters 49. up next, DISTRICT SWIM MEET, STAY TUNED FOR PRELIM SEEDING, EVERYONE SWIMS FRIDAY, INFO COMING SOON!

Marist Score Sheets, Boys Win! Girls Dangit, Good Effort but Not a Win! (the team that scores 86 wins...)

Tough meet for both Girls and Boys, we're missing a few swimmers due to health and events, but also Marshfield is just a small and mighty team, as seen by their wins, and then stacked 2nd-4th place finishes in some events! Girls score North 65, Marshfield 104, good effort by all, Boys score North 72, Marshfield 96, again good effort! GO NORTH, as District is coming soon, 2 more Dual Meets, Marist, then Crater & Ashland!!

Well tough 6A school Willamette came to our pool, our girls were missing Helen, and tried their best by winning a few events (Oriah 200 Free), Peyton (50 and 100 Free) and Alexis (500 Free), heck they even won a couple relays (200 Free with Amelia and 400 Free with Marie), but Willamette just got those coveted points with quite a few 2nd, 3rd and 4th places...so final score 96 Willamette to Norths 76, great effort girls! As for boys, looks like Willamette was missing a few , as well Isaac, Joab, Jason amd Ryan won a few individual events, and then along with Ivan North won all 3 relays...in any case, North 111, Willamette 49, keep working hard boys, next weeks Marshfield meet could be tough! In any case thanks all timers, card runner Emily, Meet Referee Tom, and rumor has it Gary our photographic supporter was seen cheering...SO NEXT MEET SAME PLACE, SAME TIME AGAINST MARSHFIELD, GO NORTH!!!

Wow! Close swim meet, for girls it tied once, but with strong double-wins by Alexis, Helen, Oriah, in individual events, and winning all 3 relays...girls win by 6 points, 89 North - 81 Churchill. For the boys, the boys tied, are you all sitting down...a total of 4 times, it came down to ......winning 2 of 3 relays, and EVERYONE doing a phenominal job in getting not just a first 1st places, but quite a number of 2nd and 3rd places!! WHEW! I tell ya, scorekeepers chewed thru at least 3 pencils, a few fingernails, and hairs turned grey...but in the end: 87 North - 83 Churchill, 4 point difference! Hats off to all parents timing, keeping score, and special shout out to the kids helping take out the lane lines at end of meet so as to set up pool for public rec swims...(see video posted to North Eugene Highschool Swimming Facebook page)......GO NORTH!!!
